Reprieve is a human rights charity founded in 1999 by UK lawyer Clive Stafford-Smith to protect the rights of prisoners all over the world, using law as a tool. In recent years, Reprieve has gained global prominence as a result of its work defending prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, especially in securing the freedom of Binyam Mohammed, a British citizen unjustly imprisoned in Guantanamo. Clare Algar is the Executive Director of Reprieve, having joined the charity after spending time as an IP partner at a city law firm. Attendance is a necessity for anyone interested in Human Rights, International Relations or the application of law for the wellbeing of individuals.
The event will take place on the 25th February, from 7pm.
A high quality buffet will be provided.
