Shearman & Sterling Trinity Term Ball
On Monday 11th June, Oxford Law Society invited members to their own private escape at the heart of 250 acres of Cotswolds countryside. Welcome to the regal 17th century stately home: Aynhoe Park.
Aynhoe Park offered a glorious balance between the aesthetic elegance that the traditional architecture offers, against the surreal art that lies within. Having been transported to this gorgeous venue, guests were be treated to drinks and canapes on the beautiful sculpture dotted lawns that overlook the estate’s deer park. Apart from the estate’s obvious beauty, the grounds played host to all sorts of surprises including the opportunity for guests to climb aboard a hot air balloon so they can fully appreciate the venue in all its glory.
Guests enjoyed a three-course sit down dinner of gourmet food and free-flowing drinks, before dancing the night away in the stunning orangery. It was kindly sponsored by Shearman & Sterling with a percentage of ticket sales being given to charity under Oxford’s innovative and viral What’s a Pound? initiative.
The evening was the perfect way to end trinity term: an antidote to the everyday.
